Our research team focuses on the role of international institutions and law in promoting international cooperation from both a theoretical as well as an empirical perspective. We are investigating issues related to multilateralism, treaty making, and preferential trade. A significant part of our work addresses the broad impact of international cooperation through multilateral treaties. Our current research efforts concentrate on the effectiveness of dispute settlement under preferential trade agreements, new modes of global economic governance, and the different channels of power in international politics.
